    The Countrymen 2025 Spring Tour

Click Here to Book Your TIckets in advance : £15.00
    (Tickets are non-refundable)

It’s difficult to find a musical genre that would fully describe The Countrymen, but Folk Rock Harmony comes close. A five-piece band featuring tight four-part vocal harmony and strong instrumentation.

Primarily performing original songs and their own arrangements of lesser-known contemporary folk, the band’s lyrical inspiration is drawn from life in Cornwall, the demise of local industries and other rural issues that resonate throughout the country.
The Countrymen are accomplished performers, engaging the audience with light-hearted banter and back-stories to their songs.

The Countrymen perform up to 50 live gigs per year including spring and autumn concert tours, festivals and other folk events. These include Little Orchard Festival, Rock Oyster Festival, Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, Falmouth Oyster Festival and Falmouth Week.

“These guys are really entertaining. The musicianship, vocal harmonies and the humour all come together to provide a great evenings entertainment”. Graham Bunney

They’ve also appeared at Looe Saves The Day, supporting Paul Young’s Los Pacaminos, headlined at Bridport Folk Festival and last summer, have appeared at Bie Diap in The Netherlands, Europe’s largest folk and sea-song festival. September also saw them performing at the Mineral Point Opera House in Wisconsin USA for a single concert.

Additionally, The Countrymen were shortlisted in 2023 for Glastonbury’s Pilton Stage Party and have also made several appearances on Westcountry Television, BBC Radio Cornwall and numerous online folk radio stations.

“If you get the chance to see these guys (The Countrymen) in concert then take it, you will not be disappointed” Harry Glasson

To date, the band have released two albums, Trees on the Hill and The River Rolls On, both available on CD and all major streaming/download sites. They are currently working on a third album to be released later in the year.

Mark Radcliffe & David Boardman: An Evening of Music, Mirth, and Mayhem

Prepare for a night of exceptional entertainment as Mark Radcliffe and David Boardman take the stage, bringing their unique blend of music, storytelling, and humour to our theatre.

Mark Radcliffe is a man of many talents—broadcaster, writer, and musician—whose voice has graced BBC National Radio since the early '90s.
Currently, he hosts the Radio 2 Folk Show and weekend breakfast on BBC 6Music. Beyond the airwaves, Mark has authored five bestselling books, including Crossroads – In Search Of The Moments That Changed Music.
His musical ventures are as diverse as his broadcasting career, having been a member of folk-rock bands The Family Mahone and Galleon Blast. He is also one half of the electronic duo UNE and serves as drummer and lyricist for the Americana band Fine Lines.

David Boardman is a seasoned singer-songwriter and consummate guitarist.
He cut his teeth on the rock circuit with Darktown Jubilee, touring the UK, North America, and Canada.
A gifted visual artist, David met Mark in their hometown of Knutsford, where their writing partnership soon paid dividends.

Together, Mark and David offer an act of classic simplicity: two voices, two guitars, original songs, carefully chosen covers, and the occasional rambling anecdote. It might not sound like much, but they seem to be getting away with it... so far.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience an evening filled with music, laughter, and the undeniable chemistry between two of Cheshire's finest talents.
