Bash Street Theatre presents “The Battling Butlers!”
Live music, physical comedy & circus skills combine to tell a story as old as time...
Juggling babies, toddlers on stilts and teaching your kid Joey to ride his first unicycle...
These are all part of everyday life for showman Joe Butler, in this poignant, family love story involving the ever-changing relationship of a father-and-son double act, The Battling Butlers.
What sort of parent actually encourages their five-year-old to play with fire, anyway?!
Using a unique blend of physical theatre, circus skills, original songs and live music, The Battling Butlers is a study in role-reversal and the inevitability of change, as the old order makes way for the new.

(8 NEW TALES FOR 2023!)
Nasty but nicely comic entertainment…
"In 'Owdyado’s twisted world nothing is ever what it seems.”
Lyn Gardner
‘Owdyado Theatre’s Twisted Christmas returns to the South-West this year, telling new tales, with its deliciously depraved take on the holiday season.
Featuring writers from Cornwall and across the UK, this selection of 8 original micro-plays includes tales of how to buy the perfect gift for your unloved ones, the dark side of Christmas cracker jokes, and why you should never turn your back on a pantomime dame.
Influenced by cult classics such as Inside No.9, The Twilight Zone and Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected, Twisted Christmas promises a darkly comic evening of macabre mini plays all with a festive flavour!
Watch the Twisted Tales trailer here (if you dare...!)

It will be performed by company regulars Connie Crosby and Charlotte Bister. Daniel Richards (one half of Cornwall’s longest-running cult Christmas show ‘Christmas.Time’) directs the piece.
