    'Flats & Sharps'
    Adrenalin-fuelled, banging bluegrass goodness!
Performances wrapped in fun filled shows
guaranteed to get your feet tapping and bellies laughing

In early 2011, four 17 year-old mates from college thought that maybe they could earn a bit of pocket money by forming a folk/bluegrass band and busking in and around their home town of Penzance.

Today, ten years on, their incredible skill on their instruments, their luscious harmonies and their sheer joy at performing such infectious music have helped Flats and Sharps build a reputation for themselves as the hottest band of their style in the UK.

Flats and Sharps is a fantastic, four-piece bluegrass outfit delivering energetic, enthusiastic and spirited Bluegrass music to audiences all around the world. Their shows include a wide variety of influences, from a fresh and modern outlook on foot-stomping Bluegrass material through to their powerful and well-crafted original songs.

Their music perfectly blends strong harmonies and stonking solos, with an incredible stage presence and energy to create an evening that’ll have you dancing, laughing and singing along in no time.

Over their time together, the band have made their presence known all around the world, including multiple tours in Australia, Europe and around the UK. Now, for the first-time, the boys from Flats and Sharps are ready to bring their good-time, feel-good music to the St Austell Arts Centre – Yeeha!

NB  This is a Seated, Outdoor event. At the time of booking, we're planning for this show to be performed in the Open-Air.  However, if conditions and Government guidelines permit, the Show may be moved inside, into the Theatre.

Doors Open & Licensed Bar from 6.30pm, with assisted service. The Show starts at 7.30pm

What a fab session for us in Port Isaac boys! You were bloody brilliant and had the crowd jumping. Put us old gits to shame.

A brilliant night watching these guys! So young and so incredibly talented. Look forward to watching your path. Keep doing the work and for the right reasons xx

The picking is exhilarating, the harmony vocals precise. You can but admire.

Is the grass in the West Country blue?
How else would a group of English musicians have achieved such a mastery of the American form?
Instrumental virtuosity is usually reserved for hot hands from across the Atlantic, but Flats and Sharps can stand toe-to-toe with the Americans. A very talented bunch.
    Joe Boyd, Producer and Writer
