    Seagrass and Maerl Evening

    Free 'St Austell Bay Seagrass & Maerl Evening'

    Join the Cornwall Wildlife Trust for evening of informative talks about some of our most important marine habitats.

    Throughout the talks, we will be exploring many aspects of these extraordinary local species including, the amazing wildlife and ecosystem they support, why they are so central to help tackling the nature and climate crisis as a blue carbon habitat, how we can protect it as a local community and more!

    We'll also be revealing the findings from our St Austell Bay Blue Carbon Mapping Project funded by the G7 Legacy Project through Natural England, including brand new results from our latest survey work.

    We will also be giving details about the new Community Conservation Project focused on Seagrass and how you can get involved.

    Come and enjoy a Celebration of Cornish Culture - in Cornish!

    The evening will include a selection of live music, spoken word recitations including poetry and prose in the Cornish language, presented by members of the Rescorla Centre.

    It's hoped that the event will also offer 'surtitles' to give translations of the content in English

    Doors Open and Licensed Bar from at least 7.00pm. Show starts at 7.30pm
