Jo has appeared on Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, The John Bishop Show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, The Royal Variety Performance, and Richard Osman’s House of Games. and many, many other top tv & radio comedy shows
Voted Comedians’ Comedian of The Year 2021/2022, Jo Caulfield is quite simply one of the most consistently funny and creative comics in the country : The Guardian
Here Comes Trouble is 90 minutes of razor-sharp observations and scandalous one-liners, as Jo gets her claws into everything (and everyone) that annoys her.
Nominated as “the best female Stand Up in the country” (Chortle) and “one of the Top 100 Comedians” (Channel 4), Jo is a regular on Radio 4 and a returning guest on Breaking The News.
Jo’s first book, “The Funny Thing About Death” was published in August 2023
From yelling at strangers on trains (and many other places), to discussing ridiculous sexual fantasies and annoying her neighbours, Jo doesn’t mean to cause trouble; she just has the nerve to say out loud what everyone else is thinking!
This is Jo Caulfield doing what she does best: pure Stand-Up.
Just Jo, a microphone, and a bad attitude.

Watch The Tempest’s comedy trio here!
St Austell Players present The Tempest, Shakespeare’s classic tale of power and magic, forgiveness and revenge, complete with illusion, treachery, and Gucci handbags.
Prospero, usurped duchess of Milan, lives exiled with her daughter Miranda on an unknown island, consumed by thoughts of retribution.
When a familiar ship appears on the horizon she seizes her opportunity and enlists the help of her servant, the island spirit Ariel, to enact revenge on those responsible for her downfall and force her treacherous sister Antonio into repentance.
And thus, into The Tempest. For this is no ordinary storm, and this is no ordinary island.

Bash Street Theatre presents “The Battling Butlers!”
Live music, physical comedy & circus skills combine to tell a story as old as time…
Juggling babies, toddlers on stilts and teaching your kid Joey to ride his first unicycle…
These are all part of everyday life for showman Joe Butler, in this poignant, family love story involving the ever-changing relationship of a father-and-son double act, The Battling Butlers.
What sort of parent actually encourages their five-year-old to play with fire, anyway?!
Using a unique blend of physical theatre, circus skills, original songs and live music, The Battling Butlers is a study in role-reversal and the inevitability of change, as the old order makes way for the new.

St Austell Players present Bouncers by John Godber, directed by Kim Rowe, and Shakers by John Godber and Jane Thornton, directed by Rose Lancaster.
Godber’s 80s classic Bouncers and the, later added, sister play Shakers (co-written with Jane Thornton) were originally penned to expose the dark underbelly of 80s night-life in Britain.
This production has been revised for a more modern audience, without forgetting its working class, social context.
Four Bouncers. Four cocktail waitresses. One Double-Bill of hard-hitting, hilarious physical comedy !
Through outrageous observations, colourful characters, and lively, emotional snapshots, Bouncers and Shakers explores the shadowy underbelly of Britain after dark, as seen through the eyes of four cocktail waitresses and the men on the club door.
Cue giggly girls, pogo-punks, Mr & Mrs Trendy and “lads on the razz” tittering at the thought of a ‘Long Slow Comfortable Screw’ as Bouncers and Shakers offers a fascinating view of the reality behind the pulsating beats of the dance floor and the not-so-glitzy-glamour lurking beyond the plastic palms and Pina Coladas.
Please note performances contain explicit language and adult themes.
Doors Open and Licensed Bar from 7.00pm. The Plays start at 7.30pm
Programmes and merchandise will be available to purchase at the event.
